In this 900-soul- community in the eastern part of the peninsula Eiderstedt one forgets the hectic large city and breathes in the salt and iodine rich air, of the typical stimulating climate.

The typical farmhouse form on the peninsula Eiderstedt isthe Haubarge. The most popular and best restored is the Red Haubarg in theWitzworter Adolfskoog with a height of 23m and a floor space of 720qm.

Today there is an agricultural museumas well as a restaurant inside.

Well worth seeing in Witzwort is the church, brick building with gothic nave (most probably from 1420) and the Red Haubarg.
