The former bank building at Husum's inner harbour houses today, the collection of North Friesian shipping and fishing history.
Historic whaling and the Husumer mudflat fishing, steel-shipbuilding of the Husumer dockyard and wood shipbuilding of the coastal region form the centre of the collections.
Well worth seeing is the original reproduction of a Schnigge, the coastal transport of the 18th and 19th-century as well as the Uelvesbüller wreck:
Archaeologists salvaged this sensational find from the 16th-century during dyke construction work.
The Uelvesbüller wreck was conserved in a sugar solution for several years and then erected in a special build hall.
